This flute and I go way back-- 2009 to be exact. It is a very cheap bansuri style flute. This was the first flute I've ever owned. Back then, I could get a few notes from it, but the holes were so big and wide spaced that I really couldn't play it effectively. A few years later, I came across the Shinobue. Playing this flute gave me the concept of using the middle part of the fingers to cover the holes (instead of the tips of the fingers). That was when I picked up the bansuri-like flute again and made my first recording of it on Youtube.

A few months ago, I got my hands on a 3.0 shakuhachi. I think it was the combination of the 3.0 shakuhachi and shinobue that allowed me to play this flute a bit better. These experiences with the other flutes made me appreciate the old flute even more. I might make music with it more often. So, here is the 2nd recording. After listening to some Raga music from India, I attempted to play in that style. I hope that you enjoyed my story and the music.
